Hyderabad residents finally caught a break from the sweltering, muggy weather that had lingered for a week, as light showers graced parts of the city on Saturday afternoon, October 4, 2025.
Rainfall data from the Telangana Development Planning Society (TGDPS) indicated varying intensities across the city by 3 p.m. Khairatabad received the highest amount with 11.5 mm, closely followed by Malakpet at 11 mm. Other areas such as Banjara Hills recorded 8.8 mm, Nagole 8.3 mm, Bandlaguda 8 mm, Karwan 7.8 mm, Falaknuma 6.8 mm, Shaikpet 6.5 mm, Charminar 6.5 mm, and Goshamahal 6 mm.
Looking ahead, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a thunderstorm warning for Sunday, October 5, 2025. Isolated thunderstorms, potentially accompanied by lightning and gusty winds, are expected across all 33 districts of Telangana.
For Hyderabad and its neighboring regions, the forecast for the next 24 hours predicts partly cloudy skies. Light to moderate rain or thundershowers, possibly with gusty winds, are anticipated within the city. Morning hours may also see hazy conditions. Temperatures are expected to range between a maximum of 32 degrees Celsius and a minimum of 23 degrees Celsius.
