Aadhav Arjuna, the general secretary of Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) for Election Campaign Management, stated on Saturday, October 4, 2025, that both ‘justice and truth’ would ultimately be revealed concerning the recent Karur stampede incident.
Speaking at the Dehradun airport, Arjuna addressed media inquiries regarding the Madras High Court’s directive for a Special Investigation Team (SIT) to probe the stampede. He affirmed that his party is actively working towards ensuring justice is served in this sensitive issue.
When questioned about whether TVK would continue its campaign efforts after the incident, Mr. Arjuna reiterated his conviction, stating, ‘justice and truth will come out.’
Earlier, on Friday, October 3, 2025, the Madras High Court had instructed the Greater Chennai City Police to conduct a thorough and serious investigation into a case filed against Aadhav Arjuna. This pertained to a controversial tweet he posted, and later deleted, which was perceived as inciting young people to revolt against the Tamil Nadu government, drawing parallels to recent uprisings in Sri Lanka and Nepal.
