Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to lay the foundation stone for India’s inaugural PM MITRA Park and inaugurate the two-week-long ‘Sewa Pakhwada‘ during his visit to Madhya Pradesh’s Dhar district this Wednesday, September 17, 2025. This announcement comes from Chief Minister Mohan Yadav.
CM Yadav also confirmed that the Prime Minister will launch the ‘Swasth Nari Sashakt Parivar Abhiyan‘ (Healthy Women, Empowered Family Campaign) on the same day in Bhainsola village, Dhar district.
As part of this vital campaign, health and nutrition camps will be established at Ayushman Arogya Mandirs and Community Health Centers across the state. A strong emphasis will be placed on encouraging voluntary blood donation.
The state-wide health checkup camps will offer comprehensive screening and testing for conditions such as diabetes, high blood pressure, anemia, and tuberculosis. Additionally, mothers and children will receive prenatal check-ups and crucial nutrition counseling. Training sessions focusing on menstrual hygiene and nutrition are also planned for adolescent girls.
Chief Minister Yadav highlighted that this fortnight-long initiative represents a significant stride towards fulfilling the Prime Minister’s vision of a healthy society and a strong nation. He further stated, “Madhya Pradesh is poised to play a crucial role in the ‘Developed India 2047’ mission. We are continually advancing towards fostering a healthy society, recognizing that women’s health and empowerment form the bedrock of progress.”
The Prime Minister’s visit coincides with his birthday, during which he will officially launch the ‘Sewa Pakhwada‘ (service fortnight), running from September 17 to October 2, and address the state’s residents.
The proposed PM Mega Integrated Textile Region and Apparel (PM MITRA) Park in Dhar has already garnered substantial interest, with investment proposals exceeding ₹23,000 crore from 114 prominent textile companies. Upon its full development, the park is projected to generate employment for approximately three lakh people. CM Yadav emphasized that this isn’t merely a statistic, but a transformative change destined to impact the lives of millions of families.
An official previously explained that the park operates on the ‘5F vision’: Farm-to-Fibre-to-Factory-to-Fashion-to-Foreign. Out of the total 2,158 acres designated for the PM Mitra Park, around 1,300 acres have already been allocated, with the remaining land being made available in a phased manner.
