Tragedy struck in Petbasheerabad during the early hours of Monday (September 15, 2025), when a compound wall at V Convention gave way, killing a 56-year-old laborer and injuring six others.
The unfortunate incident occurred around 2 a.m. at the Aparna Readymix Private Limited Company premises, where numerous laborers were on duty. Heavy rainfall across Hyderabad is believed to have contributed to the collapse.
The victim, identified as Gagan Kumar Biswal from Odisha, had been a dedicated employee of Aparna since 2018. He was tragically trapped beneath the fallen debris and died instantly.
Six other individuals – Rajan Kumar, Prakash Chatri, Karma Singh, Sudha, Chandan Kumar, and Prashanth – suffered injuries. Authorities have confirmed that all six are now in stable condition and out of danger.
Authorities have registered a case against both V Convention and Aparna Readymix management, and a thorough investigation into the circumstances surrounding the collapse is currently in progress.
