Rising Indian cricket star Tilak Varma recently called on Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy at his residence. During the visit, Varma presented the Chief Minister with the very bat he used to deliver a sensational match-winning performance against Pakistan in the Asia Cup-2025 final last Sunday.
The Chief Minister warmly congratulated Varma, commending his crucial role in India’s victory over Pakistan. The talented left-handed batsman, who remained unbeaten after scoring 69 runs in the final match, had returned to his hometown on Monday following India’s triumph in securing a record ninth Asia Cup title.
Among those present at the meeting were Sports Minister Vakiti Srihari, Telangana Sports Authority Chairman Shivsena Reddy, Managing Director Sonibala Devi, Principal Secretary to Chief Minister Srinivasa Raju, and Khairatabad DCC President Rohin Reddy.
