Battlefield 6
It feels like an age, but Battlefield is finally making a grand return! After the mixed reception of Battlefield 2042, EA has assembled a dream team, with Dice, Ripple Effect, Motive, and Criterion collaborating under the banner of Battlefield Studios for Battlefield 6. The old adage rings true: four heads are certainly better than one!
Early reports suggest a swift and skillful course correction, promising an exciting return to form for the beloved series. Expect a complete redesign of Battlefield 6 weapons, focusing on realistic recoil and enhanced responsiveness. The flexible class system from 2042 has been refined, ensuring a perfect balance between player experimentation and crucial team roles.
A standout feature is the Tactical Destruction system integrated into Battlefield 6 maps, offering a more nuanced approach to environmental damage. Forget entire skyscrapers toppling; imagine strategically blowing off doors to create new entry points. If this vision of intense, tactical warfare excites you, start preparing for launch now.

Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2
It’s been nearly 19 long years, but we finally have a sequel to the cult classic bloodsucking RPG. This follow-up takes us to Seattle, a city of coffee and grunge now given a coagulated coat of crimson as you unravel another rich mystery. Several years after its initial announcement, we finally got a glimpse of extended gameplay in action, and it appears to have been worth the wait.
While the original is fondly remembered for its engrossing narrative, it was notorious for bugs and disappointing combat. Luckily, Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2’s gameplay draws inspiration from immersive sims like Dishonored 2 and Deus Ex, aiming to make its vampiric fisticuffs as engaging as its story. Following a change in developers, the release date has been adjusted, but we’re more than ready to sink our teeth into it when it finally arrives.
- Vampire: The Masquerade Bloodlines 2 release date: Tuesday, October 21, 2025
The Outer Worlds 2
Obsidian’s hit retro-futuristic role-playing game is getting a highly anticipated sequel. The initial teaser trailer was humorously vague, simply showcasing exotic alien landscapes and futuristic combat, while a wry, self-aware voiceover admitted that “the developers haven’t finished the [main character’s] design, or finished the story, or finished any gameplay that’s actually ready to show.” At least they’re honest! Fortunately, a gameplay trailer, along with a release window, was unveiled at the 2024 TGAs.
- The Outer Worlds 2 release date: Wednesday, October 29, 2025
Call of Duty Black Ops 7
FPS game fans are in for a treat this year, with not one but two genre giants making an appearance. Activision looks to the future with Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 – quite literally, as the narrative jumps ahead to 2035. BO2’s David Mason reprises his role as protagonist, facing off against Raul Menendez and The Guild, which has evolved into a powerful defense contractor since the events of BO6.
Naturally, a leap into the future means new and exciting gadgets. While we won’t see a return of the dynamic movement from BO3, we can expect an evolution of Omnimovement and even wingsuits for certain campaign missions. For multiplayer enthusiasts, the latest rumors hint at the return of several classic maps alongside specialist abilities. Oh, and plenty of zombies, of course!
- Call of Duty Black Ops 7 release date: Friday, November 14, 2025
2XKO
2XKO is a thrilling 2D fighting game set within the popular League of Legends universe, featuring champions like Ekko and Darius battling it out. Unsurprisingly, the 2XKO characters are the true stars, with movesets and signature abilities that will feel immediately familiar to LoL fans. But this isn’t just a simple one-on-one deathmatch. 2XKO matches are defined by their team-based 2v2 tag system, allowing your chosen dynamic duos to swap in and assist each other, even pulling off last-minute combo-breakers to disrupt opponents. Riot has also confirmed that 2XKO will be free to play, and we anticipate its monetization strategy will follow in the footsteps of League of Legends.

Grand Theft Auto 6
The long and short of it is, while we’ve seen leaks of this hotly anticipated action game, we still know very little about it officially. We do know that it has been pushed back into 2026, is set in Vice City, and its two playable protagonists, Jason and Lucia, share a Bonnie and Clyde-esque relationship. For everything else we’ve uncovered so far, you’ll have to keep an eye out for more details!
- GTA 6 release date: Wednesday, May 26, 2026
The Elder Scrolls 6
Bethesda concluded its E3 2018 conference with the best possible announcement: the highly anticipated Elder Scrolls VI. With only a brief teaser trailer featuring rocky hills, ruined castles, and coastlines to speculate upon, we’re still awaiting official word on the game’s setting and launch window. With Starfield now released, we can reasonably assume (based on Todd Howard’s previous comments) that attention will now turn to Elder Scrolls 6 as the next major Bethesda title to emerge. Exactly when that will be, however, remains a captivating mystery.
- Elder Scrolls 6 release date: TBC
The Witcher 4
The Witcher 4 is slated to be the first installment of a brand-new saga, so there’s a high chance it won’t actually be called The Witcher 4. While The Witcher 4 is likely years away, we can’t wait to experience the follow-up to one of the best PC games of all time.
- The Witcher 4 release date: TBC
Soulframe
The Soulframe release date hasn’t been announced yet, as Digital Extremes was initially focused on launching the next Warframe expansion, Dante Unbound. With that release now complete, hopefully, the team is full steam ahead with Soulframe’s development. That said, there has already been significant progress on this new fantasy game, which is inspired by real-world environmental issues, as well as classic works like Princess Mononoke and The Neverending Story.
- Soulframe release date: TBC
Earthless
A sci-fi, roguelike deckbuilder? Yes, please! Earthless is a unique deck builder where your chosen cards will either propel or hinder your desperate journey through space, all on a mission to save mankind. This space-faring adventure will launch into early access, so if you’re eager to be part of Earthless’s development, you can add it to your wishlist now.
- Earthless release date: TBC
Marvel’s Blade
If you fondly remember the glory days of Blade, perhaps from when Wesley Snipes embodied the legendary Daywalker, you’re in luck! Arkane Lyon is bringing the series back to life. In this single-player title, players step into the shoes of Eric Brooks, the half-man, half-vampire who confronts threats head-on with his trusty sword. Blade is a third-person game, marking a significant departure from Arkane Lyon’s previous titles, Dishonored and Deathloop.
- Marvel’s Blade release date: TBC
Haunted Chocolatier
The next enchanting game from Stardew Valley developer Eric ‘Concerned Ape’ Barone has been announced! It’s set in a charming fantasy town with its fair share of spooky occurrences. While it shares Stardew Valley’s delightful pixel-art style, the gameplay shifts focus to combat rather than farming. As the eponymous chocolatier, you’ll be tasked with fending off slimes to harvest ingredients for intricate chocolate creations, which you’ll then sell and proudly display in your chocolate shop. Unfortunately, there’s been no further word on when we can expect to get our sticky hands on Barone’s upcoming game, but one thing’s for sure: the day we open our chocolate shop can’t come soon enough.
Phew! That’s a truly incredible lineup of games, and our excitement knows no bounds! This list truly has something for everyone, whether you’re into immersive life simulations, epic RPG adventures, swashbuckling pirate tales, or anything in between. We know it can be challenging to keep track of all these releases, let alone manage your gaming budget. While you eagerly await these fantastic titles, why not check out some of the best free PC games available right now to keep you entertained?
