Get ready for another dose of quirky fantasy! The beloved anime adaptation of ‘Reborn as a Vending Machine, I Now Wander the Dungeon’ is officially returning for its third season this April. Fans can look forward to more adventures with Boxxo, the sentient vending machine, as the series continues to bring Hirukuma’s captivating light novel series, illustrated by Itsuwa Kato, to life.
To mark the exciting announcement of the April 2026 premiere, a vibrant new visual has been unveiled, showcasing the array of delicious snacks that Boxxo famously offers. This delightful sneak peek promises more of the unique charm viewers have come to love.
The creative team behind the success of season two will be returning to helm the third installment. Takashi Yamamoto, known for his work as an episode director on ‘Tsuredure Children,’ will be directing the series at Studio Gokumi and AxsiZ. Tatsuya Takahashi, who worked on ‘The Faraway Paladin,’ is handling the series composition, while Takahiro Sakai (‘Stardust Telepath’) and Naoki Yamauchi are responsible for the character designs, ensuring a consistent and high-quality viewing experience.
For those unfamiliar with Boxxo’s unique predicament, the story revolves around a human who, after a tragic accident, finds himself reincarnated in a fantastical world as a vending machine. Despite his new mechanical form, Boxxo retains his ability to see and hear. However, he’s unable to move on his own or communicate beyond his pre-programmed phrases. The series explores how this immobile, yet sentient, machine navigates a perilous dungeon and impacts the lives around him, proving that even a vending machine can be a hero.
