Video game crossovers are a dime a dozen, and most of the time, you can pretty much guess what’s coming. But not this time! 2K has just dropped a bombshell, announcing a wild crossover event: Borderlands 4 is crashing the greens of PGA Tour 2K25. Seriously, who saw that coming? Apart from sharing the same publisher, these two franchises couldn’t be more different.
Get ready for ‘Mayhem on the Greens,’ a brand new event launching with Season 4 of PGA Tour 2K25 that promises to inject some Borderlands chaos into your calm golf rounds. Gearbox, the developers behind Borderlands, enthusiastically declared, “Mayhem on the green incoming!!” While the event is slated to kick off on Wednesday, October 29, specific details remain under wraps from both 2K Sports and Gearbox. However, a captivating teaser image features a classic Borderlands Psycho character, ready to cause trouble, clutching a golf club that looks like it was scavenged straight from Pandora’s desolate landscapes.
It’s worth noting that PGA Tour 2K25 is no stranger to incorporating licensed content, already featuring a variety of purchasable items from real-world brands such as Adidas, Sun Day Red, and Barstool Sports.
Borderlands 4, which hit shelves in September, enjoyed a massive launch in the US, shattering previous franchise records. Fans can also look forward to its first post-launch paid DLC arriving in November, bringing with it fresh story missions, challenging new bosses, and plenty of epic loot to discover.
