Yami Gautam, starring in the upcoming courtroom drama ‘Haq,’ has shared insights into the film’s reception in the UAE. She stated that the movie encountered no censorship cuts and is rated ’15 plus,’ meaning it’s suitable for all viewers. Gautam highlighted the film’s core message, saying, “This is the first time I am sharing, ki is film ko (this film) UAE main in terms of censorship there are no cuts and it is 15 plus. Meaning it is watchable for all.” She further added, “If there are no problems there, that means this film is not here to antagonise anyone from any faith.” The actress stressed that the film is not about targeting any single community. Directed by Suparn Varma, ‘Haq’ is based on the significant Shah Bano Begum case of 1985, which involved a landmark legal battle for maintenance rights for Muslim women. The film also features Emraan Hashmi as Yami’s husband, Lawyer Abbas Khan, alongside Sheeba Chaddha and Vartika Singh. ‘Haq’ is slated for a theatrical release on November 7, produced by Junglee Pictures in association with Insomnia Films and Baweja Studios.
