Microsoft has announced a significant price increase for its popular Xbox Game Pass subscription service. The Ultimate tier will now cost $30 per month. This change is being implemented strategically just ahead of the release of the upcoming Call of Duty: Black Ops 7.
While the price hike is officially in effect, players might still find opportunities to secure a one-month Game Pass Ultimate subscription at the previous $20 price through certain retailers, for a limited time.
Microsoft justifies these price adjustments by stating they are part of a broader initiative to provide subscribers with “more” value. “We understand that not every player desires the exact same experience from their Xbox, so we are evolving Game Pass to offer increased flexibility, diverse choices, and greater value to our entire player base,” a Microsoft representative stated.
