Midnight, the next exciting expansion for World of Warcraft, has been the subject of much anticipation for months. Soon, on November 11, a select group of WoW players will finally get to experience the Midnight beta test. Blizzard has now shared the initial details about what participants can expect during this exclusive testing phase.
A cinematic teaser for Midnight previously showcased the dramatic arrival of the Void Storm in the realm.
Invitations for the beta will be extended to dedicated veteran players, members of the press, and other specially chosen individuals. Blizzard has clarified that these invitations will be sent out regularly throughout the testing period. Fans who pre-purchased the Epic Edition of Midnight might also receive an invitation via email. To ensure authenticity, players are advised to verify their invites by logging into their Battle.net accounts directly.
Phase 1 of the beta offers the chance to explore Midnight’s initial four zones, with the intriguing possibility of playing as a Void Elf Demon Hunter. Players who bought the Epic Edition or preordered the game will gain early access on December 2 to both the expansion and the long-awaited player housing feature. For those eager to prepare, an add-on is available that helps players identify the achievements needed to unlock various interior decorations and furniture for their future homes.
Players will also have the opportunity to create their very own Haranir, a new allied race. In a subsequent stage of the beta, Blizzard plans to roll out new raids, challenging mythic+ dungeons, advanced delves, quality-of-life UI updates, and an updated transmog system.
While a recent datamine hinted at an official launch date for Midnight on January 27, 2026, Blizzard has yet to officially confirm this date. Below is a comprehensive overview of what’s planned for the World of Warcraft: Midnight beta.
