The recent PlayStation State of Play event gave us an exciting glimpse into the single-player campaign of Battlefield 6. Players will follow Dagger 13, an elite squad of Marine Raiders, as they battle against Pax Armata, a formidable tech-driven private military organization seeking global dominance in the wake of NATO’s collapse.
A thrilling new trailer showcased this campaign, beginning with a sleek cinematic of Dagger 13 executing a synchronized assault. The rest of the footage seamlessly blended intense gameplay with brief, dramatic cutscenes. Viewers were treated to scenes ranging from exploring a devastated Brooklyn to executing a daring HALO jump from a plane, and even storming a beach in Gibraltar.
These segments powerfully conveyed both the immense scale and the breathtaking destructibility that defines Battlefield 6. Buildings in the distance were utterly obliterated, and walls exploded inward as players navigated chaotic environments. To underscore the sheer magnitude of the game’s combat and devastation, the trailer was packed with explosions, from small charges ripping through walls and collapsing hallways to RPGs striking structures and full-scale bombing runs on military installations.
Electronic Arts has promised more details about Battlefield 6’s campaign leading up to its launch, with a dedicated panel at the Tokyo Game Show set to reveal further insights. Battlefield 6 is slated for release on October 10 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. While the new title isn’t available yet, players can already earn in-game rewards for Battlefield 6 by participating in Battlefield 2042.
