Western Railway is actively seeking applications for 5,349 apprentice positions. The application window opens on February 21, 2026, and will close on March 23, 2026. Interested candidates can submit their applications online via the official Western Railway Recruitment Cell (RRB WR) website, rrc-wr.com.
To be eligible for these apprentice roles, candidates must have successfully completed their 10th-grade education (Matriculation) with at least 50% aggregate marks. Additionally, applicants need to possess an ITI certificate in a relevant trade, which must be affiliated with the NCVT (National Council for Vocational Training).
The age requirement for applicants is between 15 and 24 years as of March 23, 2026. The selection process is merit-based, with the final merit list being an average of the marks obtained in both the Matriculation examination (minimum 50% aggregate) and the ITI examination, ensuring equal weightage for both.
A nominal application fee of ₹100 is applicable. However, candidates belonging to SC/ST/PwBD/Women categories are exempt from paying this fee. Payments can be conveniently made through various online methods, including Debit Card, Credit Card, UPI, and Internet Banking. Any transaction charges incurred during online payment will be the responsibility of the applicant.
