Western Railway has opened applications for apprentice positions, offering a significant opportunity for aspiring candidates. This recruitment drive aims to fill 5,349 posts across various trades within the organization.
The application process is scheduled to commence on February 21, 2026, and will conclude on March 23, 2026. Interested individuals are encouraged to visit the official website of RRB WR at rrc-wr.com for detailed information.
Eligibility Criteria
To be considered for these apprentice roles, candidates must have successfully completed their Matriculation (10th grade) with at least 50% aggregate marks from a recognized board. Additionally, applicants must hold an ITI certificate in the relevant trade, duly affiliated with NCVT.
The age requirement for applicants is between 15 and 24 years as of March 23, 2026. Certain relaxations may apply for reserved categories as per government rules.
Selection Process
The selection of candidates will be based on a merit list. This list will be generated by calculating the average of the marks obtained in both the Matriculation examination (with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks) and the ITI examination. Both qualifications will carry equal weightage in the evaluation process.
Application Fee
An application fee of ₹100/- is applicable for general candidates. However, candidates belonging to SC/ST/PwBD/Women categories are exempted from paying this fee. Payments can be made through various online methods, including Debit Card, Credit Card, UPI, and Internet Banking.
