Get ready, photography enthusiasts! The Vivo X300 series is set to make its grand debut in China next week, featuring both the standard Vivo X300 and the more advanced Vivo X300 Pro. While the official launch on October 13 is still a few days away, Vivo has already teased several key specifications for its upcoming flagship smartphones, building anticipation for what promises to be a remarkable lineup.

Adding to the excitement, a Vivo executive recently shared a captivating video showcasing the impressive camera performance of the standard Vivo X300. This preview revealed that the device will boast a custom HPB sensor on its rear, offering a versatile 50mm focal length and a wide f/1.7 aperture. Furthermore, Vivo has officially confirmed that the X300 series will incorporate a powerful Sony LYT primary lens, hinting at a truly exceptional photography experience.

Vivo X300 Series Camera: Expected Features and Specifications

Vivo Product Manager Han Boxiao posted a video on Weibo to provide an early look at the standard Vivo X300’s camera capabilities. The video demonstrated an incredible level of detail, zooming in on a subject’s face to highlight the clarity captured by the phone’s 200-megapixel primary sensor.

The shared imagery revealed stunning precision, with individual hair strands meticulously defined and skin textures beautifully rendered. The executive’s video caption further detailed the advanced camera setup. The standard Vivo X300 is confirmed to feature a custom HPB 200-megapixel main rear camera. This sensor is touted to offer “exceptional” zooming and cropping functions, along with “commonly used” portrait focal lengths and an f/1.7 aperture. Notably, even with advanced zoom, this sensor is expected to maintain an impressive 50-megapixel resolution.

Beyond its high-resolution main sensor, the standard Vivo X300 model will also be equipped with an APO telephoto lens, designed to produce “high-resolution and crisp landscape portraits.” Users can also look forward to a “significantly improved” Zeiss Natural Portrait mode, promising professional-grade portrait shots.

Further strengthening its camera prowess, Vivo announced in a separate Weibo post that the entire Vivo X300 series, including both the Vivo X300 and Vivo X300 Pro, will integrate a “gimbal-grade” primary camera. This cutting-edge setup will be powered by a Sony LYT-828 sensor, indicating superior stability and low-light performance.

Adding to the list of premium features, Vivo previously disclosed that the upcoming Vivo X300 series will carry a Zeiss 2.35x telephoto zoom lens on the back. For professional photographers or those seeking enhanced versatility, the Vivo X300 series will also offer a separately sold photography kit, complete with a teleconverter. This teleconverter is specifically engineered to allow users to fine-tune the focal length of the impressive 200-megapixel telephoto periscope camera, offering unprecedented creative control.
