This year has seen several fresh faces emerge in Bollywood, but two actors who are not exactly newcomers are Aneet Padda and Vishal Jethwa. It simply took a little longer for them to gain the recognition and appreciation they truly deserve. You might remember them from their roles in Saiyaara and Homebound, respectively. Before their recent successes, both Padda and Jethwa shared the screen in Kajol’s 2022 film Salaam Venky. Their chemistry was a delightful and integral part of the poignant film directed by Revathi.
Vishal Jethwa, who starred opposite Aneet Padda, revealed that he saw her potential even before she became a national crush after the release of Saiyaara. In a recent interview, Jethwa shared his thoughts on his co-star, saying, “When I met her, I thought I wouldn’t be surprised when she did a good job on screen. I wasn’t going to be surprised, but she still surprised me.” He described Padda as a natural talent with a strong sense of performance. Jethwa recalled their experience on set, noting, “On the sets, we had to do a few emotional scenes, and she would cry without glycerin in every shot. Also, in moments where she had to convey emotion, she would truly connect with those feelings.”
Jethwa further lauded Padda, stating, “Even when I heard her in interviews during the Salaam Venky promotions, I realized how intelligent she was, and she looks so beautiful. She has entered the industry at the right time.” It’s heartwarming to see both Aneet and Vishal receiving the well-deserved acclaim for their acting prowess.
Looking ahead, Aneet Padda is reportedly set to replace Kiara Advani in Maddock Films’ highly anticipated horror-comedy universe film, Shakti Shalini, although an official announcement is still pending. Meanwhile, Vishal Jethwa captured audiences’ hearts with his performance in Homebound, which also featured Ishaan Khatter and Janhvi Kapoor. Jethwa is yet to announce his next project. We wish both talented actors the very best in their future endeavors!
