The Uttarakhand Subordinate Services Selection Commission (UKSSSC) has officially announced the postponement of the examination for technical posts in the Agriculture Department, originally slated for October 12. This crucial decision stems from growing concerns surrounding a possible paper leak connected to the exam. UKSSSC Chairman GS Martolia confirmed that new dates will be communicated to all candidates once the investigation is complete and the issue has been thoroughly addressed.

The examination was intended for approximately 600 aspiring candidates competing for 20-25 technical positions within the Agriculture Department. However, no admit cards were ever issued, with UKSSSC clarifying that the exam would not proceed on its scheduled date.
Paper Leak Allegations Prompt Swift Action
The postponement comes in the wake of reports detailing a suspected paper leak, compelling authorities to act decisively to safeguard the integrity and fairness of the entire examination process. The UKSSSC, which has faced scrutiny over various administrative matters in the past, has yet to officially confirm the substantiation of the alleged leak. As reported by PTI, the commission has reiterated its unwavering commitment to maintaining transparent and secure recruitment procedures.
Chairman Martolia addressed the situation, assuring the public that the commission is undertaking all necessary measures to resolve the matter. “We are fully committed to providing a transparent and fair examination process,” he stated, confirming that all further preparations for the exam have been suspended pending an internal investigation.
Postponed Exams and Anticipated Delays
Beyond the October 12 exam, the UKSSSC had previously deferred tests for cooperative inspector Class II and assistant development officer (cooperative) positions. These exams, initially scheduled for October 5, were delayed due to requests from candidates and to allow the commission additional time to bolster its preparatory arrangements.
This latest postponement has amplified concerns among candidates regarding a potential backlog in recruitment examinations. All eyes are now on the commission for timely updates on the revised schedules. The UKSSSC has pledged to announce new dates for both the Agriculture Department and cooperative sector exams as soon as its internal reviews are finalized.
Martolia, as quoted by PTI, reassured stakeholders, “We will release a fresh schedule after carefully reviewing all necessary aspects of the exams.” While the ongoing investigations are likely to prolong the wait for further details, the commission remains resolute in its commitment to restoring public confidence in its recruitment processes once the situation is fully resolved.
