The U.S. Supreme Court has refused to consider an appeal from Ghislaine Maxwell, a British socialite convicted for her role in sex trafficking crimes linked to her former partner, Jeffrey Epstein. This decision means her original 20-year prison sentence will stand, unless a presidential pardon intervenes.
Maxwell was found guilty of procuring underage girls for Epstein to abuse. Epstein himself died in federal custody in 2019. Maxwell has reportedly been interviewed by federal agents in the U.S. regarding her knowledge of Epstein’s operations and potential involvement of others.
