The Commissioner for Entrance Examinations (CEE), Kerala, has announced that 967 applications for the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test Postgraduate (NEET PG) 2025 counselling contain significant errors. Affected candidates are now mandated to rectify these issues and submit their updated documents promptly within the specified timeframe.
Most of the identified discrepancies relate to outdated or unclear certificates. Additionally, a notable number of applicants uploaded their signatures in an incorrect format. A comprehensive ‘Defective List’ detailing these applicants has been made public on the official CEE portal.

How to Check for Application Defects
To identify any errors in their submission, candidates must log in to the CEE Kerala website (cee.kerala.gov.in) using their application number and password. Once logged in, the ‘Memo Details’ section within their candidate profile will display any flagged defects. All necessary corrections and re-uploads must be completed by 5:00 PM on October 27, 2025.
No Further Correction Window
The admission authority has explicitly stated that this is the final opportunity for corrections. Applicants who fail to rectify issues, particularly those concerning Nativity documents, will forfeit any reservation benefits, even if they had previously submitted valid proofs.
Clarified Eligibility Conditions
For candidates who completed their Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) from medical institutions in Kerala but whose parents are non-Keralite, admission eligibility remains intact. However, they will not be entitled to communal, special, or disability-based reservations. Furthermore, a 2024 Kerala High Court ruling removed the nativity restriction for non-Keralite service doctors, enabling them to apply under the service quota.
