The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has commenced the application process for the Engineering Services Examination (ESE) 2026. This crucial examination aims to fill 474 positions within the organization. Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the UPSC ESE 2026, candidates must possess a degree in Engineering. This degree should be from a university established by an Act of the Central or State Legislature in India, or from an educational institution recognized by an Act of Parliament, or one declared as a deemed university under Section 3 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956.
Furthermore, applicants must be at least 21 years old and not have exceeded the age of 30 years as of January 1, 2026. This means candidates should have been born no earlier than January 2, 1996, and no later than January 1, 2005.
Application Fee
A nominal application fee of ₹200/- is required for all candidates. However, female candidates and those belonging to Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), or Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) categories are exempt from this fee. Payment can be made through any branch of the State Bank of India, or via Visa/Master/RuPay credit/debit cards, UPI, or internet banking.
