The Walmart-exclusive Icon Blue Special Edition DualSense Controller is now available for $84. This striking new PS5 controller is layered in multiple shades of blue. If the controller looks as good in person as it does in pictures, it’s easily one of the best-looking DualSense models yet. It’s the third limited-edition DualSense to launch this month, with two more still expected before October ends.
The Icon Blue edition is inspired by the PS5’s glowing icon light when powered on, designed to capture a feeling of anticipation and wonder. It features subtle Katakana characters on the back and PlayStation’s classic face button shapes on the touchpad.

Sony is also releasing a series of new collectibles this month, including a lunch box featuring Team Asobo’s adorable Astro Bot. This lunch box boasts a lenticular design, changing the little bot’s display-face expressions depending on the viewing angle. Other exciting collectibles include a PlayStation sports jersey, a backpack inspired by The Last of Us, and a set of detailed figural backpack clips of popular PlayStation characters.

The Icon Blue DualSense is just one of five new Limited Edition PS5 Controllers released this October. Earlier in the month, PlayStation launched a pair of Ghost of Yotei DualSense Controllers, available with black or gold artwork.
Later this week, PlayStation is also releasing a new God of War-themed DualSense to commemorate the franchise’s 20th anniversary. The God of War 20th Anniversary Edition DualSense is sold out at some retailers but can still be preordered from Walmart before its October 23 launch. This white controller features a striking red stripe to match Kratos’ iconic omega tattoo.
Rounding out a month filled with new PS5 controllers is the return of the exceedingly popular Astro Bot-themed model. Originally released last year, the new edition is called Astro Bot Joyful Limited Edition because the blue eyes on the touchpad match the little robot’s smiling face. The Astro Bot Joyful Limited Edition DualSense is available to preorder for $85.
PlayStation Direct still has stock of the $85 Death Stranding 2: On the Beach DualSense, which features a selection of black colors, subtle orange accents, and iconography inspired by one of the game’s organizations, Drawbridge. The Death Stranding-themed DualSense was released in June as a PlayStation Direct exclusive.
Lastly, the Fortnite Limited Edition DualSense from last year remains in stock for $85 at Target and PlayStation Direct.
In contrast to the sci-fi graphic design and dark colors of the Death Stranding 2 option, the Ghost of Yotei DualSense controller, launched alongside the game, features elegant inkbrush art. The Ghost of Yotei PS5 controller is available in gold or black colors for $85.
