The highly anticipated crossover between Avatar: The Last Airbender and Magic: The Gathering is drawing near, and we’re thrilled to offer an exclusive peek at some captivating new cards. Our spotlight today is on a unique ‘Scene Box’ that beautifully depicts an epilogue scene from the beloved TV show, along with a couple of additional cards from the main set’s bonus sheet.
Prepare to marvel at all eight new cards, which you can explore in our dedicated gallery. We’ll also tell you all about how and where these exciting new additions will be available for players and collectors alike.
The centerpiece is the ‘Tea Time at the Jasmine Dragon’ Scene Box. This collection features six cards that, when laid out, form a breathtaking panoramic art scene. These aren’t just pretty pictures; they’re designed for Magic’s ‘Eternal’ formats, such as Commander. What makes this particular scene special is that many cards depict beloved couples from the show’s conclusion, offering a tranquil and heartfelt epilogue to their journeys.
Beyond the Scene Box, we’re also revealing two ‘Source Material’ cards. These can be found in regular booster packs of the main set and are legal in formats where their original counterparts are allowed. Each features actual, iconic shots from the animated series, seamlessly blending classic Magic card mechanics with memorable moments from the show, even noting the episode number where the art originated.
For those eager to dive deeper, a variety of related products are also available, including the Avatar: The Last Airbender Beginner Box, the Play Booster Bundle, Play Booster Boxes, Jumpstart Booster Boxes, Collector Boosters, and Prerelease Packs featuring characters like Azula, Katara, Aang, Zuko, and Toph.
This isn’t our first venture into the Avatar Magic universe; we previously shared a hands-on look at the Beginner Box, perfect for new players learning the ropes. While the Scene Box is a fantastic collectible for Avatar fans, the Beginner Box remains the ideal starting point for anyone looking to learn Magic from scratch with a friend.
Card reveals for the set are in full swing and will continue through next week. Prerelease events are scheduled to begin at local game stores on November 14th. The digital launch on MTG Arena will follow on November 18th, with physical cards hitting shelves on November 21st.
