Battlefield Studios has officially unveiled its action-packed roadmap for Season 1 of Battlefield 6, promising an exciting array of new content for players.
This highly anticipated free update is set to deliver “game-changing content” every single month, starting October 28th (Battlefield 6 launches October 10th). Players can look forward to three distinct phases: first, “Rogue Ops” on October 28th, featuring the new Blackwell Fields map, fresh weapons, and a 4v4 Strikepoint mode. Next, “California Resistance” arrives November 18th, bringing the Eastwood map and an 8v8 Sabotage mode. Finally, the season concludes with “Winter Offensive” on December 9th, introducing the “Empire State” seasonal map and a surprise themed event.
The development team emphasizes their commitment to fair play, stating that all seasonal content, including new maps, modes, and weapons, will be released consistently and will be either entirely free or earnable through gameplay.

Here’s a breakdown of what to expect:
Rogue Ops – Launching October 28
Season 1 kicks off with its first phase, “Rogue Ops,” packed with three new weapons, an exciting new map, a powerful vehicle, a fresh Multiplayer mode, and additional attachments to enhance your loadouts.

Blackwell Fields – Map, Supporting All Combat Sizes, Land and Air Vehicles
As the single-player campaign’s conflict subsides, Pax Armata double agents ignite new hostilities against NATO targets. The battle begins at a recently recommissioned American air base nestled in the California badlands.
Strikepoint – Mode, Designed for Intense 4v4 Combat
Strikepoint is a pulse-pounding, small-team tactical mode where two squads clash across multiple rounds to secure a crucial objective. With only one life per round, every decision counts.
APC Traverser Mark 2 – Land Vehicle
This Armored Personnel Carrier is a robust infantry support vehicle, accommodating four players: a driver, a roof gunner, and two backseat passenger side gunners.
SOR-300C – Carbine Rifle
A subcompact carbine featuring a low rate of fire but chambered in the high-damage .300 Blackout ammunition, offering a punchier alternative to the platform’s standard 5.56 version.
Mini Fix – Sniper Rifle
Fans of the Scout Elite will appreciate this lightweight, bolt-action sniper rifle. It’s perfectly crafted for aggressive Recon soldiers, providing a “Mini Fix” for sharpshooting needs.
GGH-22 – Sidearm
A high-capacity pistol with a fast fire rate but lower damage, ideal for those moments when your primary weapon (or both, for Assault class) runs dry and you need a quick backup.
Rail Cover & LPVO – Attachments
Available for a variety of rifles and light machine guns, these two attachments – the Rail Cover and the Low Powered Variable Optic (LPVO) – are among the first post-launch additions for various rifles and light machine guns. They’ll definitely make you reconsider your attachment point allocation.
California Resistance – Launching November 18
The second phase of Season 1 focuses on the liberation of Southern California. Prepare for fierce combat with a new map, mode, two new weapons, and more.

Eastwood – Map, Supporting All Combat Sizes, Land Vehicles and Helicopters
As part of a coordinated assault across the US west coast, Pax Armata sleeper agents within the tranquil, affluent Eastwood community (connected to a golf course) are activated, turning the suburb into a war zone.
Sabotage – Mode, Designed for 8v8 Combat
In this 8v8 mode, your objective is to destroy as many sites as possible before time runs out. Utilize your cunning and arsenal to outwit the enemy. Each team gets one round on offense and defense, with victory going to the team that successfully detonates the most sites wins.
Battle Pickups – Exciting Feature
Veterans will fondly remember Battle Pickups. These aren’t standard loadout weapons; they are powerful, high-tech armaments with limited ammo and sparse availability across the map. Finding them will be a challenge for you and your squad.
DB-12 – Shotgun
A unique dual-barrel pump-action shotgun fed from two separate tubes. One trigger pull fires a shell (or slug) from the first barrel, a second pull fires the other, then a single pump re-chambers both barrels, making it highly efficient for close-quarters combat.
M327 Trait – Sidearm
This eight-round revolver delivers high damage with a low rate of fire. It’s potent up close, but be aware of its considerable damage drop-off compared to its .44 Magnum counterpart.
Slim Handstop – Attachment
The third attachment introduced in Season 1, this grip offers an alternative underbarrel choice with its unique blend of ergonomic and handling modifications, providing new tactical options.
Winter Offensive – Launching December 9
Season 1’s grand finale, “Winter Offensive,” will put your squad’s resilience to the ultimate test against an icy deadlock. Expect the iconic Empire State to be transformed by a deep freeze, alongside other chilling winter updates.

Ice Lock Empire State – Limited Time Map Update
Environmental threats have been detected: temperatures in Brooklyn have plummeted below freezing. Prepare your gear, stay warm, and seize complete control of the borough with this striking, limited-time visual update to the Empire State map.
Ice Lock – Limited Time Event
The chilling “Ice Lock” event approaches… This limited-time engagement centers around a unique “Freeze” mechanic, a gameplay modifier active only in specific experiences, adding a new layer of tactical depth.
Ice Climbing Axe – Melee
Designed to send a shiver down an enemy’s spine or carve through delicate environmental elements, this new melee tool offers a fresh alternative to traditional knives and sledgehammers.
Battlefield 6 is set to launch on October 10th, with pre-loads becoming available from October 3rd. For those who pre-order the Phantom Edition, you’ll receive the BF Pro Token, Phantom Squad Soldier Skins, Weapon Packages, and a Deluxe XP Boost. Both the Phantom Edition and Standard Edition pre-orders also include the Tombstone Pack, which comes with a Soldier Skin and a Tombstone XP Boost Set.
Our team has been thoroughly enjoying the game so far, noting in our Battlefield 6 review-in-progress: “Right now, even in beta form, Battlefield 6 might be the most fun shooter I’ve played this year.”
