Ultraviolette Automotive, a Bengaluru-based company, has officially launched its groundbreaking X47 Crossover electric motorcycle in the Indian market. This highly anticipated bike enters the scene with an attractive introductory price of Rs 2.49 lakh (ex-showroom), a special offer before its price increases to Rs 2.74 lakh (ex-showroom). This initial pricing applies to the 7.1kWh variant, with details for the higher-capacity battery option to be revealed soon. Enthusiasts can place their bookings online or at their nearest dealership, with deliveries scheduled to commence in October 2025.
For those seeking an even more adventurous look, a special X47 Desert Wing edition is available, featuring a unique sand-inspired paint scheme and equipped with touring-specific accessories. Beyond this special edition, buyers can personalize their ride with a wide selection of official accessories, including panniers, knuckle guards, crash protection, and soft luggage solutions.
The X47 offers riders a choice of two robust battery configurations, similar to those found in the F77 series. The standard 7.1kWh unit provides a certified IDC range of 211km, while a larger 10.3kWh pack extends the certified IDC range to an impressive 323km. The higher-spec model doesn’t just offer range; it delivers exhilarating performance with peak figures of 30kW (40.2hp) and 100Nm of torque (translating to a remarkable 610Nm at the rear wheel). This power enables the X47 to rocket from 0–60kph in just 2.7 seconds, reach 100kph in 8.1 seconds, and achieve a top speed of 145kph (all claimed figures).
Powering this innovative machine is a new 1.6kW onboard charger, touted by Ultraviolette as the world’s most power-dense air-cooled unit, though specific charging times are yet to be announced. Underneath, the X47 boasts a robust hardware setup, including a 41mm USD fork and a rear monoshock, both providing 170mm of suspension travel for a smooth and controlled ride. Braking is handled by Bybre, featuring a 320mm disc at the front and a 230mm disc at the rear. With a ground clearance of 208mm and a newly developed chassis that incorporates a cast-aluminum subframe and a sleeker swingarm than its F77 counterpart, the X47 is engineered for both performance and durability.
In terms of advanced features, the Ultraviolette X47 sets a new benchmark by including radar technology as standard across both variants. This system, dubbed ‘Hypersense,’ utilizes a 77GHz rear-facing radar to significantly enhance rider awareness by continuously monitoring the surrounding environment in real-time. It offers a broad 150-degree horizontal and 68-degree vertical field of view, capable of tracking objects up to 200 meters away. Hypersense actively identifies blind spots and provides alerts to the rider through display notifications and integrated illuminated strips within the mirrors. When changing lanes, it also intelligently scans for approaching hazards and warns of rapidly closing vehicles.
Adding another layer of safety, the radar system also incorporates rear-collision detection. By precisely calculating the speed of traffic approaching from behind, it can trigger immediate cluster alerts and automatically activate hazard lights if an impact risk is identified. Further enhancing rider safety and convenience, the X47 features an integrated dual-camera dashcam setup, powered by a high-quality Sony sensor. Both cameras record crisp 1080p video at 30fps with a wide 120-degree field of view. Riders can easily review footage directly on a secondary display situated above the 5-inch TFT cluster, with 32GB of onboard storage as standard, expandable up to 256GB.
The X47 also introduces a refined instrument cluster layout, complemented by an integrated eSIM that unlocks a suite of connected features. These include theft alerts, remote tracking, and comprehensive ride analytics, keeping riders informed and their bike secure. Rider assistance technologies are extensive, featuring three-level traction control, dual-channel switchable ABS, and dynamic stability control, all designed to offer an unparalleled riding experience.
