TVS Apache RTX 300: Explore the Key Details
From a design perspective, the TVS Apache RTX 300 strikes a perfect balance between rugged capability and sleek aesthetics. It boasts a muscular yet well-proportioned silhouette, defined by sharp, rally-inspired lines and striking twin-beam LED headlamps paired with angular DRLs. Riders will appreciate the tall windscreen, the semi-faired bodywork, and a sculpted tank leading to a comfortable stepped seat. Other notable design cues include a high-mounted exhaust and distinctive red ‘RTX’ accents strategically placed on both the front and rear.
At its heart, the Apache RTX 300 introduces TVS’ innovative RT-XD4 engine, which first made its public appearance at MotoSoul 2024. TVS highlights that this new powerplant delivers superior cooling efficiency and notably refined performance. In terms of raw specifications, it’s a 299.1 cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine, capable of churning out 36 hp and 28.5 Nm of torque. This formidable engine is coupled with a smooth 6-speed gearbox, enhanced with an assist-and-slipper clutch, and a convenient bi-directional quickshifter for seamless gear changes.
The RTX is built upon a robust trellis frame and features high-quality WP-sourced USD (Upside Down) front forks complemented by a monoshock at the rear. While TVS emphasizes its primary use on paved roads, the company assures riders of its robust capability to confidently tackle off-tarmac adventures. Safety is paramount, with braking handled by disc brakes on both wheels, fortified by a dual-channel ABS system for optimal control.
When it comes to features, the Apache RTX 300 is packed with technology. Riders can choose from four distinct riding modes: Urban, Rain, Tour, and Rally, adapting the bike’s performance to various conditions. Additional highlights include cruise control for effortless highway cruising, a responsive ride-by-wire throttle, and wheelie mitigation for enhanced stability. The top-tier variants come equipped with a sophisticated 5-inch TFT display, offering Bluetooth connectivity, map mirroring, and seamless Google Maps integration via the TVS SmartXonnect app. This smart system further extends its utility by supporting call and SMS alerts, detailed ride analytics, and even integrated GoPro control, making every journey more connected and thrilling.
