Bronze is a pivotal upgrade material in Hades 2, indispensable for forging new tools like the Rod of Fishing and progressing powerful Incantations. But where does this valuable metal hide in the sprawling world of Hades 2? This guide will pinpoint its location and explain its diverse uses.
How to Acquire Bronze in Hades 2
Finding Bronze in the City of Ephyra
To acquire Bronze in Hades 2, your journey takes you to the surface world. Equip your trusty Crescent Pick and venture into the City of Ephyra, the very first major region of Olympus. This is where you’ll find those coveted Bronze deposits.
Before you can even set foot on the surface, you must first cast the “Permeation of Witching-Wards” incantation at the Cauldron within the Crossroads. This powerful spell is unlocked after a few conversations with Hermes and Hecate during your runs. You’ll need one Cinder, one Shadow, and three Moly to complete it. Once cast, the entrance to the surface will appear directly opposite the path to Erebus.
With the Reagent Sensing incantation active, navigating Ephyra becomes even easier. A shimmering silver trail will guide you straight to any harvestable deposits. Simply approach a large, unmistakable pile of bronze and press RB/R1 to mine it. Each deposit yields three pieces of Bronze.
Beware: your initial trips to the surface will be brief due to Melinoe’s Underworld curse. Prioritize sprinting towards Bronze deposits if you’re making your first few ascents. To truly explore and extend your stay, you’ll need to cast another incantation: “Unraveling a Fateful Bond.” This crucial spell removes the curse, granting Melinoe much more freedom above ground.
