Arrow Films previously released ‘Trick ‘r Treat’ with a 4K restoration—approved by the movie’s writer-director Michael Dougherty—and this is the same high-quality source for this steelbook release. It supports Dolby Vision, HDR10, and Dolby TrueHD 5.1 surround sound, ensuring a visually and audibly stunning experience. The steelbook case’s cover is based on the original 2007 theatrical poster and comes in a reversible sleeve with all-new art by Sara Deck. It’s also bundled with six art cards, a double-sided foldout poster featuring both original and new artwork, and an illustrated collector’s book.

First released in 2007, ‘Trick ‘r Treat’ weaves four interconnected horror stories together with one common thread: whenever a Halloween tradition is broken, the enigmatic, burlap sack-wearing demon, Sam, appears. The narratives include a high school principal who hides a dark secret as a ruthless serial killer, a young woman seeking romance who discovers something sinister instead, a group of teenagers whose prank goes horribly wrong, and an old man who despises Halloween and runs afoul of Sam.
‘Trick ‘r Treat’ is a heartfelt homage to classic horror anthologies like ‘Creepshow,’ which is also enjoying a Blu-ray resurgence. ‘Creepshow: The Complete Series’ is set for a November 11 release and includes all four seasons of the Shudder TV horror-comedy anthology. You can preorder it for $53, a significant discount from its original $100 price. Additionally, Shudder’s 10th Anniversary Collector’s Edition Box Set, launching on the same day, can be yours for $62.38, down from $120.
The ‘Creepshow’ universe extends to movies with available 4K restorations. The ‘Creepshow Limited Edition Steelbook’ is currently on sale for just $23 (originally $40), while Arrow Video’s 4K Blu-ray restoration of ‘Creepshow 2’ is available for $33 (originally $50) and includes a bonus comic book adaptation of an unpublished Stephen King short story for an extra layer of fright. For dedicated fans, a comprehensive guide to all available ‘Creepshow’ movie and TV series Blu-rays is also available.
If these tales aren’t enough to satisfy your craving for terror, explore more collections of ghoulish fables. Options range from the intense found-footage horror of the V/H/S series to the classic ‘Tales from the Crypt’ spin-off movies and many more.
