While the newer AirPods Pro 3 offers advanced features, the AirPods Pro 2 remain an excellent choice. At $179 (down from $249), this price isn’t the lowest we’ve seen (it was $149 during a previous Prime Day), but it’s still a significant saving compared to the AirPods Pro 3’s $249 price tag. The in-ear design of the AirPods Pro 2 provides superior noise cancellation compared to the open-ear design of the AirPods 4; Apple claims the Pro 2’s ANC is twice as effective. When choosing between these models, your preference for silicone ear tips (Pro 2) versus the open-ear style (AirPods 4) is a key factor. The AirPods Pro 2 also include integrated hearing protection and can function as hearing aids. Given the substantial price difference, we currently recommend the AirPods 4 with ANC over the Pro 2, as the quality gap doesn’t fully justify the cost.
