The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Bombay, has officially commenced the registration process for the Undergraduate Common Entrance Examination for Design (UCEED) 2026. This is a golden opportunity for students passionate about design to secure a spot in one of India’s premier design programs.

For those who need a little extra time, the registration with a late fee will remain open until November 7, 2025.
Key dates to remember include the availability of admit cards from January 2, 2026, with a deadline for rectifying any discrepancies on January 8, 2026. The UCEED 2026 examination is scheduled for January 18, 2026, and will be conducted in a single shift from 9 AM to 12 PM.
Who is eligible? Students who have successfully completed Class XII (or an equivalent examination) in 2025, or are appearing in 2026, are eligible to apply. Importantly, the stream you studied in Class XII – be it Science, Commerce, or Arts & Humanities – does not restrict your eligibility.
How to Apply for UCEED 2026:

- Locate and click on the UCEED 2026 registration link available on the homepage.
- You will be directed to a new page to complete your online registration.
- After successful registration, log in to your account.
- Carefully fill out the application form and proceed to pay the application fee.
- Submit the completed form and download the confirmation page.
- Keep a printed copy of the confirmation page for your records and future reference.
