Rahul Gandhi Expresses Deep Sorrow, Calls Demise a ‘Terrible Tragedy’
On the same day, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi also expressed his profound sorrow, describing Garg’s death as a ‘terrible tragedy.’
In a poignant post on ‘X’, Mr. Gandhi stated, ‘The loss of Zubeen Garg is an immense tragedy. His distinct voice shaped a generation, and his talent was truly unparalleled.’
The Congress MP further highlighted how Garg courageously overcame personal challenges to revolutionize Assamese music.
He added, ‘His remarkable perseverance and unwavering courage have left an indelible legacy. Zubeen will continue to live on in our hearts and memories forever.’
Musical Fraternity Mourns Zubeen Garg’s Untimely Demise
Joining the chorus of grief, actor Adil Hussain and musicians Papon, Vishal Mishra, Armaan Malik, and Pritam voiced their shock and sorrow over Garg’s sudden passing on Friday.
Mr. Hussain, in a post on X, shared his ‘devastation and shock’ upon hearing the news.
He elaborated, ‘My heart is heavy with sadness… His extraordinary contributions to Assamese music and culture are immeasurable. He will continue to resonate among us through his timeless songs. Dear Zubeen, I remember you with immense love and affection. May your melodious soul find eternal peace, and may God bless your spirit. Papon, equally stunned, posted on X: ‘This is absolutely shocking! The voice that defined a generation, taken too soon. I am at a complete loss for words. I’ve lost a friend, a brother. This leaves a massive void. Praying for his soul’s peaceful journey.’
Vishal Mishra, sharing a throwback photo on Instagram, wrote, ‘Zubeen Da, like so many others, I deeply loved your voice and felt such a strong connection to it! You left us far too soon.’
Armaan Malik tweeted his sorrow, stating, ‘I am utterly devastated and in disbelief. May his soul find eternal peace.. #ZubeenGarg.’
