Tom Holland, our beloved Spider-Man star, has given fans a much-anticipated update on his health after a recent head injury he sustained during the filming of ‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’.
Taking to Instagram, the actor shared details about attending a gala for The Brothers Trust, his family’s non-profit organization. He explained that he appeared at the event on the very night of his injury but decided to leave early to prioritize his recovery.
Reflecting on the charity event, Holland posted: “What a night! Another huge success. I’m sorry I had to leave early but I’m feeling better and on the mend. A huge thanks to my Dad for taking over after I left. The show got considerably funnier 😂”
Previously, a UK newspaper reported that Holland was at the gala with his partner Zendaya and fellow Spider-Man actor Jacob Batalon, mere hours after his injury. He departed the event early, reportedly “after feeling ill.”
While official details of the accident remain unconfirmed, reports indicated that Holland suffered a mild concussion after “cracking his head in a fall” while performing a stunt at Leavesden Studios in Watford, England. An ambulance was called to ensure he received necessary medical checks at a local hospital.
Following the incident, Sony Pictures temporarily halted filming for a week to give Holland ample time to recover. They assured that this brief pause would not affect the movie’s planned release date of July 31, 2026. Holland has called the upcoming ‘Spider-Man’ film the “first movie in the next chapter” of his saga, clarifying that he’s not planning to rush into another full trilogy in the immediate future.
