Reports indicate Holland suffered a concussion after reportedly “cracking his head in a fall.” The 29-year-old Marvel star was later spotted at a charity dinner in Mayfair, accompanied by his father, Dominic, and his co-star and fiancée, Zendaya. However, sources suggest Holland departed the event prematurely, feeling unwell.

The exact impact on the “Spider-Man: Brand New Day” production remains uncertain. While reports from Holland’s father suggested a prolonged absence, other sources characterized the concussion as “mild,” anticipating the actor’s return to set within a few days as a precautionary measure.
Sony and Marvel Studios are expected to convene today, September 22, to strategize on how to proceed. “Spider-Man: Brand New Day” is currently slated for a July 31, 2026 release.
Production for the highly anticipated film commenced in August in Glasgow, Scotland, marked by an exciting suit reveal. Since then, numerous set leaks have surfaced, showcasing stars like Jacob Batalon, reprising his role as Ned Leeds, and Zendaya, who returns as MJ. Intriguingly, some set videos have hinted at a return to practical web-swinging, a departure from the CGI-heavy approach in previous Marvel Cinematic Universe installments.
Prior to this incident, Holland had briefly stepped away from filming to discuss his role in a new LEGO short film in a recent interview.
This unfortunate event follows a similar incident involving former Superman actor Henry Cavill, who sustained a leg injury during training for the ‘Highlander’ reboot, also causing production delays.
