Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan, lovingly known as King Khan, just celebrated his 60th birthday with an electrifying gift for his fans: the first look and title teaser for his highly anticipated film, King. Produced by his own banner, Red Chillies Entertainment, this action-packed movie is slated for a grand cinematic release in 2026.
The teaser plunges viewers into a gritty, intense world, where Shah Rukh’s character declares, “How many people did I kill? I don’t know. Were they good? Were they bad? I never asked. All I remember is seeing fear in their eyes, that this is their last breath. And I was the reason for it.” He ominously concludes, “I am not fear. I am destruction.” The teaser also brilliantly hints at two distinct looks for the superstar – a rugged salt-and-pepper style and his iconic long hair, adding to the intrigue.
Directed by Siddharth Anand, who previously collaborated with Shah Rukh Khan on the blockbuster Pathaan, King marks their exciting reunion. The film features the talented Deepika Padukone as the female lead, continuing her successful partnership with SRK for their sixth on-screen venture. Adding to the stellar cast, Shah Rukh’s daughter, Suhana Khan, and acclaimed actor Jaideep Ahlawat are set to play pivotal roles. Details about the film’s intricate plot and additional crew members are currently being kept under wraps, building even more anticipation.
King is a joint production between Red Chillies Entertainment and Marflix Pictures.
