Unfortunately, the trend of higher starting prices for some Amiibo appears to be continuing, as revealed during a recent Nintendo Direct. Nintendo showcased seven new Amiibo figures for upcoming titles such as Metroid Prime 4: Beyond, Kirby Air Riders, and the Super Mario Galaxy + Super Mario Galaxy 2 collection. The new Mario Galaxy Amiibo figures are priced at $40 each, as is one of the three Metroid Amiibo (though this particular Metroid figure is quite large). Meanwhile, the upcoming Kirby Air Riders Amiibo are set at $50, with prices reflecting special bundles like Kirby with a Warp Star machine and Banana Waddle Dee with the Winged Star.
