Saif Ali Khan, always known for his witty charm, recently graced the show Two Much, hosted by Twinkle Khanna and Kajol, alongside Akshay Kumar. His appearance brought back memories of why he’s a celebrated storyteller in Bollywood. Following a viral candid photo shared by his wife, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Saif is now in the spotlight for his lighthearted take on his upbringing, which he jokingly refers to as a ‘poor’ childhood.
During the show, when Twinkle and Kajol playfully teased him about his luxurious upbringing, Saif confessed that he used to sneak money from his father Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi’s wallet. His mother, the iconic Sharmila Tagore, however, always caught him. “My mother would. She always knew,” Saif recalled with a grin. When asked by Akshay Kumar about the reason, Saif quipped, “I wasn’t a very good boy; I was very naughty.”
Adding to the humor, when Kajol asked if he took the money for food, Saif’s witty reply, “They weren’t feeding me,” sent everyone into fits of laughter. He further emphasized his point about his royal upbringing by joking, “They were unpainted palaces. It was a big struggle. It wasn’t air-conditioned.”
Despite the jovial tone, Saif’s narratives often highlight his significant lineage, a family that elegantly blends royalty, cinema, and cultural heritage. As the son of the late Nawab and cricket legend Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi and the esteemed actress Sharmila Tagore, Saif continues to uphold his family’s legacy, alongside his siblings Soha and Saba Ali Khan, his wife Kareena Kapoor Khan, and his children Sara, Ibrahim, Taimur, and Jeh.
