Steam has seen an incredible year for indie games, building on the monumental success of titles like Hollow Knight: Silksong. Just recently, another unexpected gem, *RV There Yet*, burst onto the scene, selling over 1.3 million copies in its debut week.
A trailer for RV There Yet showcases its unique gameplay.
*RV There Yet* marks the exciting debut from Nuggets Entertainment. This cooperative adventure allows up to four players to navigate a precarious RV through the treacherous Mabutts Valley. Players must strategically exit their vehicle and utilize winches and other tools to overcome challenging obstacles that would otherwise be impossible. As often happens in such daring journeys, some attempts can spectacularly fail! Beyond the terrain, players will also face wild animals and snakes, making an EpiPen an essential piece of their toolkit.
The game’s popularity soared, with over 100,000 concurrent players recorded in its first week. Jace Varlet, community manager for Nuggets Entertainment, released a video expressing gratitude to the players and clarifying why the game wasn’t initially labeled as “early access.”
In this video, Jace Varlet addresses the community.
Varlet explained that the studio was pleasantly surprised by the game’s explosive popularity. Their initial focus was simply to launch the game by their internal deadline, without immediate plans for additional content. However, the overwhelming reception has sparked discussions about expanding *RV There Yet*. He also assured players that the team is actively working on fixing reported bugs.
While there are no immediate plans for a console release, *RV There Yet* is currently available on Steam at a discounted price of $7.19, set to return to its standard $8 on October 28. Nuggets Entertainment is also working on another game, *Among the Wild*, though it’s not yet ready for release.
