The League of Legends universe has been expanding rapidly over the past few years, venturing into television with Arcane and even a series of novels set in Runeterra. But for many fans, the most exciting developments are the genre-shifts within video games. 2XKO offers a thrilling reimagining, letting players control their favorite League of Legends characters in intense, head-to-head combat rather than strategic lane skirmishes. While the game is already a competent fighter, a new update from Riot addresses several irritating bugs that were starting to get on players’ nerves.
This latest 2XKO patch, version 1.0.1.2, tackles a couple of significant issues. Chief among them are collision problems, which sometimes caused champions to pass right through each other instead of making contact. This was particularly noticeable when characters were cornered or when multiple champions were on screen.
Now, characters should correctly interact with one another, preventing them from getting trapped when surrounded. The update also ensures that characters starting on the left and right sides have consistent corner priority during assist-driven corner steals.
Beyond general collision fixes, specific champion adjustments have also been made. Ekko’s ultimate ability will no longer leave a lingering smoke effect, and Warwick will no longer launch himself across the map after using ‘Handshake Tagging’ to exit ‘Spinning Slicer’ during a ‘Freestyle Fuse’. Furthermore, his ‘Ankle Swipe/Primal Leap’ combos will now consistently connect on Yasuo.
Speaking of Yasuo, his ‘Turbulent Wind’ attack has received a crucial scaling fix, with its effects now properly applying to both the second and third hits. Several other bugs have also been addressed, meaning players should experience fewer crashes when entering the champion select screen and less frequent disconnections during matches. Riot is also introducing a new widget to the home screen, providing real-time updates on the game’s server status and any upcoming downtime.
The 2XKO patch 1.0.1.2 is scheduled to go live on Tuesday, October 21. During this update, online play will be temporarily unavailable from 9 AM PT / 12 PM ET / 5 PM BST / 6 PM CEST until 1 PM PT / 4 PM ET / 9 PM BST / 10 PM CEST.
If these improvements get you ready to dive into the arena, make sure you’re prepared by checking out the current champion rankings before picking your fighter. And if you’re looking to expand your roster, there are plenty of ways to unlock more characters.
