The caption revealed their daughter’s name: “Rocki Irish Mayers September 13, 2025 🎀”. Accompanying the announcement was an adorable picture of tiny pink boxing gloves, a playful nod to the iconic Rocky film franchise.
But the name ‘Rocki’ holds deeper significance. It’s widely seen as a tribute to her father, A$SAP Rocky, referencing both his stage name and his real name, Rakim Mayers. The middle name, ‘Irish,’ is thought to honor Rihanna’s Barbadian heritage, which reportedly includes Irish and English ancestry. ‘Mayers,’ of course, is the family surname.
Rihanna and A$AP Rocky are known for their unique and thoughtful baby names. Their first son, RZA Athelston Mayers, was named in honor of Wu-Tang Clan’s RZA. Their second son, Riot Rose Mayers, was chosen to represent a beautiful balance of energy and aesthetic.
