To give you an idea, the entry-level Redmi Note 14 Pro+ 5G, featuring 8GB RAM and 128GB storage, launched in India in January at Rs. 22,400. The Redmi Note 14 Pro 5G, with the same RAM and storage configuration, was introduced at Rs. 20,900.
Redmi Note 15 Series: Expected Specifications for India
Let’s dive into the anticipated specifications. The Redmi Note 15 series first launched in China on August 21. There, the Pro model comes with a MediaTek Dimensity 7400 Ultra chipset, while the Pro+ is equipped with a Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 SoC. However, for the Indian market, there’s a strong indication that the camera setup will be a bit different from the Chinese variants.
Specifically, the Redmi Note 15 Pro+ is rumored to boast a brand-new 200-megapixel main camera on its rear. The Note 15 Pro, on the other hand, is expected to feature a 108-megapixel sensor. Despite these camera differences, both Indian models are anticipated to retain the same powerful chipsets and impressive displays found in their Chinese counterparts.
As a quick reminder, both the Redmi Note 15 Pro+ and Note 15 Pro globally feature stunning 6.83-inch 1.5K (1,280×2,772 pixels) micro-curved displays. These screens offer a super smooth 120Hz refresh rate, a responsive 480Hz touch sampling rate, and an incredible peak brightness of 3,200 nits. Under the hood, both phones come with up to 16GB of LPDDR4x RAM and generous storage options of up to 512GB UFS2.2.
When it comes to camera capabilities (optics), the Redmi Note 15 Pro+ is equipped with a versatile triple-rear camera system. This includes a powerful 50-megapixel Light Fusion 800 main sensor, a 50-megapixel telephoto camera for zoomed shots, and an 8-megapixel ultrawide sensor to capture more of your surroundings. The standard Pro model, however, features a 50-megapixel Sony LYT-600 sensor paired with an 8-megapixel Sony IMX355 ultrawide sensor.
For those who love selfies, the Note 15 Pro+ boasts an impressive 32-megapixel front camera, while the Note 15 Pro comes with a capable 20-megapixel selfie shooter.
Powering these devices are substantial 7,000mAh batteries, both offering 22.5W wired reverse charging, so you can even use them to charge other small gadgets. When it’s time to juice them up, the Redmi Note 15 Pro+ steps ahead with blazing-fast 90W wired charging, while the Note 15 Pro supports a respectable 45W wired fast charging.
