Punjabi singer Rajvir Jawanda’s last rites will be conducted in Pona, his native village located in the Ludhiana district of Punjab. Actor Ammy Virk took to Instagram to share this sad news. Rajvir Jawanda passed away on Wednesday morning, succumbing to injuries sustained in a road accident on September 27.

Ammy Virk shared a heartfelt note paying tribute to Rajvir. The funeral proceedings are scheduled for Thursday at 11 am in Pona village. Sharing the update, Ammy simply posted, “Waheguru ji” with a folded hands emoji.
Rajvir passed away at Fortis Hospital in Mohali at 10:55 am. He had been admitted in critical condition, suffering from severe spinal injuries and brain damage. Despite receiving extensive medical support and continuous monitoring from critical care and neurosurgery teams, he succumbed to multiple organ failure, as confirmed by a hospital statement. The statement also conveyed deepest condolences to his family and fans.
Rajvir Jawanda’s Accident and Condition
Rajvir Jawanda had been on life support since being rushed to Fortis Hospital in Mohali. He was critically injured in an accident on September 27 while traveling to Shimla on a motorcycle. The accident, which occurred in the Solan district of Himachal Pradesh, had also resulted in a cardiac arrest prior to his transfer to the Mohali hospital.
