Renowned Punjabi singer Rajvir Jawanda has tragically passed away at the age of 35. The beloved artist had been in intensive care for eleven days following a serious road accident. He succumbed to his injuries on Wednesday morning, leaving his fans and the music industry in mourning.
Rajvir Jawanda Passes Away
The accident occurred on September 27 when Jawanda’s motorcycle collided with stray cattle that unexpectedly entered the road, resulting in critical head and spinal injuries. Doctors had described his condition as extremely critical, with minimal brain activity and no significant improvement noted during his time on ventilator support at Fortis Hospital in Mohali. He passed away in the early hours of October 8.

The news of Jawanda’s untimely death prompted an outpouring of tributes from celebrities and political leaders alike. Actress Neeru Bajwa shared a heartfelt tribute on Instagram, captioned, “Gone too soon.” Partap Singh Bajwa, Leader of Opposition in the Punjab Legislative Assembly, expressed his heartbreak on X (formerly Twitter), remembering Jawanda’s soulful voice and vibrant spirit. Punjab BJP Vice President Fatehjung Singh Bajwa also extended his condolences, acknowledging the destiny’s plan despite prayers for recovery. Aam Aadmi Party leader Manish Sisodia shared his sadness, stating that Jawanda’s voice would live on in the hearts of Punjab.
