Pradeep Ranganathan is celebrating a monumental success with his latest film, ‘Dude’. The romantic comedy, directed by Keerthiswaran and co-starring Mamitha Baiju, has achieved a remarkable feat by crossing the ₹100 crore mark at the worldwide box office in a mere six days. The film, released during the Diwali season, has resonated strongly with audiences across various regions, including Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Karnataka, Dubai, Malaysia, Singapore, and North America.
Expressing his heartfelt appreciation, Pradeep shared a video on his X account, conveying his gratitude to his fans and the industry for their unwavering support. He highlighted that this success is a collective achievement, attributing it to the audience’s love rather than his individual efforts.
“I am happy to have gotten a ₹100 crore hat-trick for the first time in my life,” Pradeep said in Tamil. “This is only possible, not because of me, but because of you and your support. I do not know how to thank you for this.” He extended his thanks to various collaborators, including Jayam Ravi, Ishari Ganesh, Aghoram, Archana Kalapati, directors Ashwath and Keerthiswaran, and the production houses involved.
Notably, ‘Dude’ marks Pradeep Ranganathan’s third consecutive film to achieve this box office milestone. His debut film, ‘Love Today’ (2022), reportedly earned around ₹107 crore worldwide, followed by ‘Dragon’ (2025) which collected approximately ₹150.52 crore globally. Pradeep Ranganathan, who also made his directorial debut in Kollywood with ‘Comali’ in 2019, is gearing up for his next release, ‘LIK’, scheduled for next year.
The film ‘Dude’ delves into the story of Agan (Pradeep Ranganathan) and Kural (Mamitha Baiju), who have known each other since childhood. Their lives take an unexpected turn when Kural proposes marriage to Agan, uncovering hidden family secrets. The movie also features supporting performances from Sarathkumar and Rohini.
