In a major development for India’s power and infrastructure sectors, Power Mech Projects Ltd. (PMPL), a leading force in industrial engineering and construction, has proudly announced securing a monumental ₹2,500 crore Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) contract. This prestigious order, awarded by Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd. (BHEL), is for a crucial 800 MW thermal power plant being developed by the Singareni Collieries Company in Mancherial, Telangana.
This substantial contract specifically covers the execution of the balance-of-plant package for the 1 x 800 MW Singareni Thermal Power Station.
The extensive scope of work outlined in the contract includes the engineering, procurement, and construction of essential systems such as Coal and Biomass Handling, Ash Handling, and various utilities. Additionally, PMPL will be responsible for the Induced Draft Cooling Tower (IDCT), Water and Wastewater Treatment plants, and a comprehensive Fire Protection System. The agreement also encompasses all associated Civil & Structural Works, as well as Electrical, Control, and Instrumentation (C&I) components.
