In a remarkable turn of events, a passionate Pokémon fan from Malaysia has allegedly sold his entire collection of cards for an incredible RM1,870,000, which amounts to approximately ₹3.8 crore. The collector, identified as Damiral Imran, had previously made headlines for listing his extensive collection at this substantial price.
Imran shared the news of the successful sale on Facebook, expressing his elation and the historical significance of the transaction. He stated, “My Pokémon card collection officially SOLD for RM1,870,000. From a small room in Shah Alam to making history in the Pokémon World. This is more than a sale, this is a story of passion, grind and legacy,” according to a report by NST.
The collection, which reportedly features cards stacked from floor to ceiling, was authenticated and graded by the US-based service Professional Sports Authenticator. Previously, the South China Morning Post had reported that Imran’s collection could be valued at over 2 million ringgit, according to a card-valuation tracker called Shiny.
Imran had also expressed willingness to trade the collection for a Porsche 911 Carrera 4S plus additional cash. Although he had received offers up to 1.68 million ringgit, he chose to wait for a better deal, which he now appears to have secured.
