Pawan Kalyan’s highly anticipated film, ‘They Call Him OG’, directed by Sujeeth, has made a massive impact at the box office. In just three days since its release, the movie has shattered records, surpassing the ₹200 crore mark worldwide. This impressive feat not only marks Pawan Kalyan’s first film to achieve such a collection but also establishes it as a significant commercial success.

Impressive Box Office Performance:
According to Sacnilk, ‘OG’ garnered an impressive net collection of ₹121.70 crore in India by Saturday. Coupled with an overseas collection of ₹55 crore, the film’s total worldwide earnings reached a staggering ₹200.85 crore by the end of its third day.
This performance has placed ‘OG’ ahead of other notable films, including Ram Charan’s ‘Game Changer’ (₹186.25 crore lifetime) and Salman Khan’s ‘Sikandar’ (₹184.6 crore). The film now stands as the second highest-grossing Telugu film, trailing only Venkatesh’s ‘Sankranthiki Vasthunam’, which earned ₹255.2 crore globally.
Strategic Ticket Pricing and Release Advantage:
The film benefited from a strategic pricing model, with premiere tickets priced at ₹1000 in Andhra Pradesh and ₹800 in Telangana. Permissions to increase ticket prices by ₹100 for the first ten days of release further bolstered its opening numbers. Similarly, hiked ticket prices in international markets contributed to the strong initial performance.
Furthermore, ‘OG’ is enjoying a clear run at the box office during the Dasara season, with minimal competition, save for ‘Mirai,’ which was released earlier in September.
