The highly anticipated Telugu film ‘OG’, starring Pawan Kalyan and directed by Sujeeth, has been performing exceptionally well at the box office since its release on September 25th. Despite mixed reviews initially, the gangster flick has managed to maintain its momentum, even showing resilience through the weekdays.
On its fifth day, ‘OG’ is reported to have collected an estimated ₹7.45 crore nett in India, pushing its domestic total to a significant ₹147.65 crore. While a dip was expected on Monday compared to the weekend collections, the film’s overall performance has been robust. Industry analysts are optimistic that the collections will see an uptick with the upcoming Dasara festival.
The film had a phenomenal opening, raking in ₹21 crore from premieres alone and a massive ₹63.75 crore on its first day. Even with a 71% dip on Friday, it managed to earn ₹18.45 crore. The weekend saw steady business, with ₹18.5 crore collected on both Saturday and Sunday, contributing ₹37 crore to the total.
Ram Charan Joins Pawan Kalyan for ‘OG’ Screening
Adding to the film’s buzz, actor Ram Charan, Pawan Kalyan’s nephew, attended a special screening of ‘OG’ in Hyderabad on Monday evening. This comes after Pawan Kalyan reportedly recovered from viral fever and bronchitis, allowing him to join the team for the screening.
Directed by Sujeeth and produced by DVV Entertainment, ‘OG’ features an ensemble cast including Emraan Hashmi, Priyanka Mohan, Arjun Das, Sriya Reddy, and Prakash Raj. The film has reportedly garnered over ₹250 crore worldwide in its opening weekend alone.
