Box Office Update: Pawan Kalyan’s highly anticipated film, ‘OG,’ has made a significant impact at the box office during its opening week. After an anticipated dip on Monday, the action-packed entertainer showed remarkable resilience on Tuesday, pushing it closer to the ₹300 crore milestone globally.
‘OG’ Box Office Performance
‘OG,’ which could be Pawan Kalyan’s final film for some time, experienced a powerful start, grossing over ₹150 crore on its opening day, including paid previews. Despite an initial drop in collections, the movie has maintained a strong presence throughout the week. It has already garnered ₹154 crore nett (₹183 crore gross) in India within six days. Adding to this impressive domestic collection, the film’s overseas earnings have now surpassed $10 million. These combined figures bring ‘OG’s total worldwide gross collection after six days to an estimated ₹275 crore.
With this remarkable achievement, ‘OG’ has become the highest-grossing Telugu film of the year, surpassing Venkatesh’s ‘Sankranthiki Vasthunam.’ By Tuesday’s collections, ‘OG’ has also outshone the lifetime collections of several recent popular Indian films. Its ₹275 crore worldwide collection is higher than that of Mohanlal’s ‘L2: Empuraan’ (₹267 crore) and Aamir Khan’s ‘Sitaare Zameen Par’ (₹268 crore). The film is now aiming to surpass ‘Housefull 5’ (₹288 crore) and the Malayalam hit ‘Lokah Chapter 1’ (₹290 crore and counting).
Industry estimates suggest that ‘OG’ grossed approximately ₹10 crore worldwide on Tuesday. If the film sustains this momentum, it is projected to cross the ₹300 crore mark by Friday and potentially reach ₹350 crore by the end of its theatrical run.
