Music director and filmmaker Palash Muchhal has confirmed his upcoming wedding to cricketer Smriti Mandhana. During an event at the State Press Club recently, Palash, who hails from Indore, was asked about his bond with Smriti.

Reports have consistently speculated a relationship between Palash and Smriti, with Palash frequently sharing pictures of them together on his Instagram. While the couple had not publicly confirmed their relationship until now, Palash shared during the event, “She will soon become the daughter-in-law of Indore… that’s all I want to say. I’ve given you the headline.” However, he did not reveal any specific dates or further details about their wedding.
Smriti Mandhana, the vice-captain and opening batsman for the Indian women’s cricket team, is currently in Indore preparing for the ICC Women’s World Cup ODI match against England. Expressing his support, Palash stated, “My best wishes are with Indian captain Harmanpreet Kaur and Smriti (Mandhana). We always want the Indian cricket team to win every match and bring glory to the country.”
Earlier in July, Palash posted a heartfelt birthday message for Smriti on Instagram, describing her as his “calm in the chaos,” his “biggest cheerleader,” and his “most inspiring soul.” He praised her grace under pressure and quiet strength, both on and off the field.

Known for his work as a musician and filmmaker, Palash has composed music for several Bollywood films alongside his sister Palak Muchhal. He is currently directing his upcoming movie, Raju Bajewala, starring Avika Gor and Chandan Roy. His directorial debut, Dishkiyaoon, was released in 2014. He has also lent his musical talents to films like Bhoothnath Returns and Amit Sahni Ki List, with popular songs including ‘Party Toh Banti Hai’ and ‘Tu hi hai Aashiqui’. Additionally, he has acted in Ashutosh Gowariker’s Khelein Hum Jee Jaan Sey and composed music for various music videos.
