Oppo’s anticipated next-generation foldable smartphone, the Oppo Find N6, is already making waves with early benchmark listings, strongly indicating an imminent launch. The company has officially confirmed the Oppo Find N6 branding, and current reports point to its debut occurring sometime after the Chinese New Year. A recent Geekbench entry has now unveiled crucial performance scores and chipset specifics for the global variant of the device. These revelations are complemented by several leaks detailing expected hardware enhancements and innovative features.
Oppo Find N6 Might Feature an Unannounced 7-Core Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 Chip
The Oppo Find N6, identified by model number CPH2765, recently surfaced on Geekbench. It achieved a notable single-core score of 3,524 and an impressive multi-core score of 9,090. Additionally, an OpenCL score of 24,103 was recorded, further highlighting its graphical prowess.
This benchmark data suggests that the Oppo Find N6 could be powered by a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, paired with an Adreno 840 GPU. Interestingly, the CPU configuration appears to be a distinctive 7-core setup, deviating from the more conventional 8-core design.
Oppo has a history of utilizing a modified, trimmed version of the Snapdragon 8 Elite chip, as seen in the previous Oppo Find N5. This approach is often taken to optimize heat management and boost battery efficiency, particularly crucial for foldable designs. The Geekbench listing also indicates that the prototype device is running Android 16 and is equipped with a substantial 16GB of RAM.
Beyond the benchmark insights, the forthcoming Oppo Find N6 is also rumored to support rapid 80W wired fast charging. It is expected to boast a powerful 200-megapixel primary rear camera and a large 6,000mAh battery. The device might even include AI Pen support, enhancing its functionality. The design of this new book-style foldable is anticipated to be thin and remarkably lightweight. Consumers can also look forward to striking color options like Titanium and Orange.
While Oppo has not yet provided an official launch date for the Find N6, Zhou Yibao, Oppo’s Find series manager, has stated that the company’s next foldable is slated for release after the Chinese New Year, meaning sometime after March 3. However, some tipsters have suggested a more precise launch date of March 17 for both China and global markets, though an India-specific release may not be planned at this time.
