Rumors are swirling about the OnePlus 15s, a potential successor to this year’s OnePlus 13s. Fresh leaks hint at significant upgrades in chipset and battery for the upcoming model. While OnePlus hasn’t officially announced the 15s, its flagship OnePlus 15 is confirmed for a China launch later this month, featuring the powerful Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip.
Anticipated OnePlus 15s Features and Specifications
According to reliable tipster Sudhanshu Ambhore on X (formerly Twitter), the OnePlus 15s is expected to retain the impressive 6.32-inch flat 1.5K OLED display seen on its predecessor, the OnePlus 13s. Powering this new smartphone will reportedly be Qualcomm’s cutting-edge Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset.
A major highlight of the OnePlus 15s is its rumored battery capacity, which is tipped to exceed 7,000mAh—a substantial improvement over the 5,850mAh battery in the OnePlus 13s. Furthermore, the device is expected to support blazing-fast 100W charging. Other anticipated features include an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor and a robust metal middle frame.
The design of the OnePlus 15s is predicted to feature a minimalist camera module, mirroring the aesthetic of the upcoming OnePlus 15 flagship, which is slated for release in China later in the month.
Following OnePlus’s typical market strategy, the OnePlus 15T might first launch in China, with the OnePlus 15s subsequently introduced in other regions, including India. This pattern was observed with the OnePlus 13s, which debuted in India as a rebranded version of the China-exclusive OnePlus 13T.
The OnePlus 13s hit the Indian market in June of this year, priced at Rs. 54,999 for its 12GB RAM and 256GB storage variant. It was available in elegant Black Velvet, Green Silk, and Pink Satin finishes. This device runs on a Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC, coupled with 12GB of RAM and up to 512GB of internal storage. A unique customisable Plus Key on the handset allows users to quickly switch sound profiles, activate AI features, access the camera, or turn on the flashlight.
For photography, the OnePlus 13s boasts a dual rear camera system, comprising a 50-megapixel Sony LYT-700 primary sensor and a 50-megapixel telephoto lens. For selfies, it features a 32-megapixel front-facing camera. The device also supported 80W fast charging.
